Action for ESOL

“ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) is the main publicly funded English language provision in the UK, and provides an essential service to many asylum seekers and refugees.  Access to ESOL improves integration and helps students to find and progress in work and contribute to British society. Despite this, the survival of ESOL is under threat.”

NHS Reform

“Our treasured NHS is under threat. At the heart of the NHS should be patients, but the coalition government’s planned reforms will break-up NHS services and business motives will cut deeply into the fairness, quality and value that we have come to expect. It is crucial for the public and NHS staff to join in opposing these proposals.”
